Living from Ascension
April 8, 2026
Scripture:
Colossians 3:1-3 (KJV) – “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
The ascension of Jesus Christ is more than a historical event; it is the spiritual position from which you live your daily life. When Christ ascended and was seated at the right hand of God, He established a new reality not only for Himself but for all who believe in Him. This new life is not about striving in the flesh or reacting to circumstances but about living from the authority, blessing, and empowerment of the throne of God.
To live from ascension means to set our minds and hearts on the things above—on the nature and power of God rather than the problems and distractions of this world. It is to recognize that your identity is no longer rooted in earthly limitations but in the divine nature imparted to you through Christ’s resurrection and seating at God’s right hand. You are not just raised to life; you are seated in a place of authority to reign in life.
This position frees you from the bondage of fear, oppression, and defeat. The scripture reminds us that our life is hidden with Christ, protected and established in righteousness. It is from this place that we speak, act, and manifest the kingdom of God on earth. When challenges come, remember you are seated with Christ and empowered to rule over every circumstance.
Today’s Victory:
Today, consciously shift your focus from earthly worries to heavenly realities. When faced with challenges, remind yourself, “I am seated with Christ in heavenly places.” Speak words of authority and blessing over your situation, affirming that you live from the place of ascension and reign in life.
